High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. We were here last spring on a vacation. Was just reminiscing about how wonderful it was so decided to write a review. Husband had the pork chop and loved it very thick cut and so tender. I think he had a potato side dish and liked that too. I had scallops. They were cooked perfectly an tender as well. The suggested wines we ordered were perfect with each dish. We came here because Pasquals was too busy and think we got the better of the 2.

Great environs, open table reservation options, and decent SW food options but nothing to blow you away compared to other options in Santa Fe. By he outdoor patio seating is magical with a fountain and Summer smells of flowers floating through along with a good Tequilla cocktail. I'm a sucker for environment so bumped this to 4 star but food is more in line with 3 star.

We had breakfast here. Although there were only 2 other tables seated there was serious confusion with our order. We did eat someone else's food. Oops! It was delicious, but because we waited so lone I forgot what I ordered! Lol! Coffee was hot and plentiful. Food was well priced we opted to not eat at Pasquale's and we both ate for the price of one breakfast there. The huevos rancheros were spicy and wonderful. Pintos were tender and savory. Enjoy!

Probably 3.5 stars. We were guests in the hotel and had made a point of dressing up, because we thought it was a nicer restaurant. We were very concerned when we were seated by a woman wearing jeggings and flip-flops! That seemed pretty unprofessional for a hostess of a nice restaurant (we later learned that she is a co-owner and the wife of the chef/owner - especially unprofessional!). Luckily, the service improved from there, and we had a wonderful waitress in Medina. She was friendly, attentive, and gave us great suggestions. She was also very professional. This is an expensive meal that doesn't really compare to the other upper-end steakhouses I've been to in Denver and Las Vegas. We enjoyed portions of the meal immensely, like the green chile/feta hummus, and the poutine as a starter. We both ordered different steaks, and they were good, but not great. I ordered a medium steak, and it was absolutely medium-rare, if not a bit rare. The asparagus and potato were fine, but again, not exceptional for a $30-some meal. The chocolate lava cake was delicious, but similar to others I've had. This was a good meal, all in all.

It was a costy meal. Though the price range on Yelp is 2 dollars, the reality was that every main course is around 30 dollars for dinner. The Alaskan Halibut was fine, the stater, prawn was over salted. May 2nd

I am so glad I made it a point to go here for brunch today. The courtyard seating was gorgeous. More than that, the brunch menu was excitingly different than the standard New Mexican fare. Of course your staples are there, like huevos rancheros. Then there are delights like chicken and waffles and a corned beef and beet hash. It's easy to pass by Tabla when there are so many classic Santa Fe eateries nearby but it's definitely worth trying. Paired with cocktails from Secreto it is going to be at the top of my list for downtown brunch from now on. Also, Ben's service was friendly and jovial but never unprofessional. The chef on duty, Xander is clearly a creative force. It's a simple thing but I really appreciate perfect waffles and they are rarely done to perfection. BEST chicken and waffles ever. I can't wait to go back for dinner. FYI locals, even though Tabla is in Hotel St.Francis it is owned and operated by a husband and wife duo, not the corporate company who owns the hotel.

We originally going to Pasqual across the street bit then we saw their $16 breakfast burrito on the menu and decided to go elsewhere. This place has a great quite patio and the food was delicious. It is not authentic New Mexican breakfast exactly, rather a fusion of modern cuisine and local flavors. I would have given the place five stars, but the coffee was $5!!!!!!!!

Looked at the breakfast menu the evening before and decided to try for breakfast. Sat on the patio and it was everything that is perfect about Santa Fe. Tables well shaded, adobe walls, big wooden gates, brick flooring, well maintained greenery. DH and I ordered coffee, which was the best we've had in ages, The Cowboy Scramble with an extra plate. Sharing was definitely the right call as it was a large portion and perfectly filling before a day of site seeing. Eggs were expertly cooked with mushrooms, moist short ribs with the perfect chew, just right amount of potato, a bit of tang from the mozzarella curd and pickled onions. The red chile hollandaise could have stood just a bit more chile, but that's a personal preference. No heat to the hollandaise, just flavor which we like. Hotter is not often better. My only detraction is the tortilla was not made in house. It was a high quality for not being made on site, but a home made tortilla would have given this review 5 stars.

I had zero expectations for the food here, we came for the drinks and I wish that we had stuck with that. The drinks were amazing. we had a couple of the Irish old fashioned cocktails and I just had to try the local beet. The local beet was not too sweet and hit the spot juuuust right and the irish old fashioned was a neat twist on a classic. Now... to the food... We may have just ordered the wrong things but the server said that the things we ordered were some of his favorites. We started with the Poutine and it was frozen french fries topped with bland pot roast and some brown gravy. We didn't make much of a dent in it cause it was just very boring and filling. it tasted just like it sounds, and don't be fooled by the amazing description on the menu. The server then brought us some house made hummus and it was the bomb diggity. Make sure you get some of that. Then the main courses. I had the lamb chops served with a creamed spinach stuffed puff pastry. I enjoyed the pastry (i'm sure it has a fancy name I just don't know it) but as for the chops... I'm not just being dramatic here... I thought I was cutting the bone so I flipped it over to see and nope... it was just that tough. so I tried the other chop... same story. I was sad. The bit I tasted had a good flavor, maybe I just got a bad chop. The husband ate the organic chicken served with mashed potatoes and grilled carrots. He said the chicken was good but a little dry, and he enjoyed the carrots the most. so to summarize... don't go there to eat. go to drink and maaaaybe eat hummus.

We were our wits end with a sick dog, due to the heat!!!! We loved this Hotel and Tabla de Los Santos was our saving grace. Made reservations for 7:30 pm. As it was cooler and comfortable for sitting outside. What a pleasant evening we had. Great service by Angela I believe was her name. All told we were very happy with our wonderful meal and of course our wine!

Simply amazing! The dining room is fantastic, the wait staff is a dream and the food to die for. During a recent mother-daughter trip over memorial day weekend we ate here twice, for breakfast and for dinner. The breakfast was fabulous. I had the Santa fe griddled toast, which was so great...it blows any other French toast out of the water. My mother got the breakfast club, which was innovative and delicious. I was reminded by her throughout the rest of the day about how great the meal was. Our waitress was kind, informative, and super attentive. Dinner at the restaurant was just as good, and when I say good I mean fantastic! My mother got the crusted trout. Everything was amazingly fresh and superb. I had the duck, which could possibly be one of the best dishes I have ever had in my life. We finished our meal with dessert, strawberry short cake and berry cobbler, both just amazing. Our waitress that evening was just as attentive and informative as our previous one. This restaurant prides itself on capable and fantastic wait staff, innovative and delicious food as well as a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. It is pricey, but worth it all. Eat here!!!!

The service was excellent and the ambiance very nice. Very good Malbec. I expected a bit more from the duck and the lamb chops, but the prawn starter and the chocolate tort were very good.

We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast this morning in this charming, sun-filled Santa Fe restaurant. (It is connected to the wonderful and historic St. Francis hotel, so be sure to check the beautiful lobby out before or after your meal.) I had the Pastel de los Santos de Chimayo, reasonably priced at $9, and my boyfriend had the Cured Country Ham and Eggs ($8). My meal consisted of poached farms eggs with potatoes on a bed of spinach with corn, pinto beans, and home fries. Delicious! The beans were and spinach were incredibly fresh. Not to mention the incredible flavor of the green chili-the pride and joy of New Mexican cooking. My boyfriend equally enjoyed his ham and eggs. The service was good and the food was delicious! I cannot wait to come back for lunch and dinner!

Excellent restaurant for the Gluten Free diner! Waitperson is very knowledgeable, chef creates for the diner with allergy issues. Excellent choices and very creative plates. The duck was GF and awesome, and the cocktail, Agave Way the best! If your Gluten Free be sure and tell the waitperson upon arrival, better to call ahead but this restaurant is exceptional and GF options abound!

This was far and away the best meal my husband and I had while we were in Santa Fe. A bit pricey perhaps (bill before tip was $82) but the food was totally worth it! Plus, its in the beautiful St Francis hotel and so it has that wonderful Spanish colonial architecture with understated but elegant décor. We mostly came here because I wanted to dine in the adorable courtyard but they had it closed due to the threat of rain. The indoor dining area turned out to be equally romantic looking with candles and soft music. A big plus is that they also serve the same amazing craft cocktails as the famous hotel bar. I ordered the "Spicy Secreto" which was the perfect Santa Fe drink! It was fresh and light with a spicy kick to it. Yum! We both had the soup to start with. It was a corn and potato chowder that was served with a dollop of red chili sauce on top in true New Mexican fashion. The soup itself had a rich creamy taste to it with a wonderful flavor of sweet corn and the chili just gave it an extra pop. Next I ordered the scallops which are actually on the menu as a starter but the waitress assured me that it was large enough for a meal and she was right. The scallops were thick, juicy, and delectably sweet. Perfectly cooked. They had some frisee and other greens as a garnish but underneath was a wonderful risotto. The rice was a bit more firm than I am used to but I have heard that is the true authentic Italian way to cook risotto even though I am used to it being served pretty soft. Either way, the flavor was so good I ate every last bit of it! It had some lemon in it but wasn't sour tasting... and also some kale but that didn't make it bitter at all... I think the dominant flavor was parmesan or some other type of cheese. It was soooo good! My hubby had the bivette steak. Neither one of us had ever heard that term before but the waitress was very knowledgeable and explained it in detail down to where on the cow it comes from! (fyi, I think it is basically a French word for flank steak). The meat was marinated and so very tender and flavorful. It was cooked perfectly to his specification of medium. He also really enjoyed the gratin potatoes and even ate all his vegetables. The only thing left on his plate at the end was the shoestring potato garnish that they had sculpted into a little nest and which he had dubbed "weird". I really wish I had remembered to take pictures because the presentation on both our meals was very pretty. The only reason for not getting five stars was the dessert. I ordered the flan and he ordered the Tres Leches. The cake was ok but the flan was not good at all. Sometimes we get a little picky about Mexican desserts because his mom is from Mexico and is a fantastic cook/baker. But seriously, I could have made better flan then that. It was too firm and had no flavor whatsoever. And there was no caramelization at all on the top. It was totally white. It tasted almost like one of those Jello pudding mix Flans that you make from the powder in a box. Just not very tasty. In spite of the lousy desserts I would definitely come here again while in Santa Fe. Great location. I loved the ambiance. The food is fabulous. And the service is top-notch. Tabla Lost Santos is a great option if you are looking for a little splurge or something European (most of the menu was French or Italian) with just a little New Mexian flair.

Awful! There are so many great places to eat/have drinks in Santa Fe, this by far is not one. Service is terrible. We watched as 3 other tables got up and left. We should have followed but stuck it out and wished we wouldn't have. The food was lame at best. So sad because we use to love this hotel, but looks like if we stay here we'll have to venture elsewhere to eat. We read reviews saying service is this place's downfall but thought to give it a try...wish we would have gone with yelp and gone elsewhere. The worst part of the night was when the woman who brought our food to the table was not only just as rude as the rest of the staff but after bringing out the wrong order scoffed at my wife and argued that the plate she just slung onto the table was what my wife ordered. I thought, I'm sure management has no idea (though any quick read on yelp would have proved informative) so I asked to speak to a manager, they informed me management wasn't available. I asked for the name of the lady who brought our food out (the scoffer) and was informed that she was the owner. Makes perfect sense. I'd highly recommend avoiding this place. Many more places in Santa Fe that can guarantee a good meal.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
